INTRODUCTION

The Position

As the highest-ranking official at KRCS, the Governor holds a critical position of leadership within the organization. The President oversees the proper functioning of KRCS, ensuring that all activities, initiatives, and strategies align with the principles and guidelines laid out in the organization’s Constitution. With a keen eye for detail, the President is responsible for ensuring that KRCS operates in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices, while also ensuring that it stays true to its core values and mission. Whether liaising with the KRCS Senior Management, consulting with key stakeholders, or spearheading new initiatives, the Governor plays an instrumental role in the success and longevity of KRCS and is a vital contributor to the continued growth and prosperity of the organization.

The Governor

Hon. Geoffrey Korir is an Advocate of the High of Kenya with over 15 years of practice. He currently serves as the Legal Advisor to H.E Hon. Prof Hillary Barchok, Governor of Bomet County. Previously, he served as the Speaker the County Assembly of Bomet between 2013-2017.

Hon. Korir is a long serving member of the Kenya Red Cross Society who has contributed immensely to the Red Cross movement both locally and internationally. He has previously served as National Youth Chair, 2nd Deputy Governor and most recently as chair of Bomet County Branch. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Moi University and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
